I don't know how the hell I stumbled across EAVES all those years ago, but I'm damn glad I did. The band released the enthralling 'Hohenangst' in 2004 as well as two splits, one of which would be considered a full length LP in its own right. EAVES played harsh metallic/noise hardcore with insanely thick, gutteral screaming. In the end it sounds something like old Envy meets Jungbluth and Takaru. The 7" split with Francis Brady has two tracks, unfortunately they also appear on 'Hohenangst', as opposed to that LP including something new. 'Hohenangst' contains 9 songs (7 of which were new) that funnel anger, aggression and chaos straight into your brain. There's no escaping the noise that emanates from this band, so make sure you at least give them a shot!
