In case you didn't know, there is a massive surge in teenage screamo bands right, and I feel like it's culminating with the Widowdusk and ONEWAYMIRROR 12"LPs. Today's premiere comes hot off the hands of Will Killingsworth who literally just finished mastering them. The four-piece from Los Angeles range from 14 to 16 years old, which makes this track and album even more mind-blowing. The 12"LP releases this winter on Tomb Tree, Oliver, and BSDJ with tapes dropping on the digital release day of October 11th, 2023 via Jean Scene Creamers. I've heard this entire LP and it's gonna smack yer brain.

Opening with layered screaming, the song goes all-out just over 10 seconds in erupting like Piri Reis mixed with early .gif from god. Honestly it's staggering and extremely effective. The bass it turned up nice and high, giving it the audio equivalent of a pummeling wave. The urgency and chaos on the vocal front should also be mentioned, as tis impeccable, with the flurry of screams reminding me of Welcome The Plague Year. There's also the incredible ending that kicks off at the one-minute mark and provides an In Loving Memory-esque breakdown, being the highlight of the track.
