Do you like Suis La LuneState FaultsVia Fondo and/or Frameworks? Well, these young Swedes just released their demo EP and it was one of the best new things I've heard in some time. YOUNG MOUNTAIN play a subdued style of chaotic screamo with slower, drawn-out soundscapes more akin to bands like Envy, La Parade and Sen Deni.

Songs like "Dessa Väggar Viskar" showcase the band's thundering bass and pounding drums during the ambient interlude at the 2-minute mark. Like Daitro's "Un Bateau Ivre" (which has one of my favourite parts in any song ever) the sporadic bass, twinkly/atmospheric guitars and Kami's bellowing screams slapped me in the face in a valiant (and successful) attempt to ensure I don't miss out on the band's next release. That part is so good, goddamn.

So yeah, check'em out as I haven't seen their name pop up anywhere except when my good pal Jesse Mowery told me to check them out. Mad props to Jesse for that shit.
