***SEPTEMBER 2013 mp3 Mix***

...and updates
OPENmind/SATURATEDbrain just blew the fuck up, in a good way. This blog has led to the creation of ZEGEMA BEACH RECORDS, and ZBR will be releasing records by some of the bands that I've been drooling over for years. Please check back often - especially after September 3rd EST at 8pm, as the early-bird rare releases will officially go up for sale and all of that profit will be put towards the 6 releases planned for 2013. Go to the newly launched bandcamp page to check out some ZBR bands if you want to get a hold of some exclusive tracks and hear what kind of stuff the label will be putting out. (hint: the answer is amazing) Thus far, confirmed are Amber, Cassilis, La Parade and Via Fondo - with details on the other 2 releases coming in the next week or two!

There were also some great interviews from Greyscale and Arbogast last month. I have one more review from August to complete from the mp3 mix, track #17 - but I will wait for the corresponding interview and post it all together this week. I am super stoked for this interview!

September will be a crazy month, as I try to balance OPENmind/SATURATEDbrain with Zegema Beach Records. Expect more great interviews this month, continued coverage of interesting musical happenings and more exposure to insanely obscure and mind-blowing music! Any help that other people can offer in regards to reposting this blog stuff and especially ZEGEMA BEACH RECORDS will be greatly appreciated by myself and the bands. Any blogs that post similar music - please contact me so we can set up a community news ring. All three major news sites for punk/hardcore/metal music suck so much balls that I'm gagging. PUNKNEWS, I'm looking in your direction.

The following pages have changes:
*none, because I'm the greatest. or I'm lazy. Probably lazy.

As always, on the 1st of every month, I will be posting a ZIP file with songs for the upcoming month with ALL specifics deleted from the tags, so unless you already know the band, there is NO information regarding each track. During the month, I will post reviews for those bands and link the tracks to the review so you can associate the two together. This way you can listen to a new song/band and have little-to-no bias. Below, I have reposted the August mp3 mix that is used for the September reviews:
This mix will be reviewed during the month of September and the first band will be reviewed on the 5th, as Zegema Beach Records is consuming the beginning of my month.
The (September mp3/October reviews) mix that will be dissected in October has been posted below and features a hell of a lot of screaming and includes:
*-*the best Canadian screamo band ever
*-*a Spanish screamo-turned-rock act that for the most part flew under everyone's radar - a damn hell
     ass shame
*-*a Converge meets Bucket Full Of Teeth sounding band with a female vocalist that will cripple
     you, and your entire family
*-*a pioneering mathy and noodle-y screamo band from the 2000s
*-*2 Canadian rock bands that should be huge - you've probably never heard them if you don't live

Any bands/labels that are interested in having their stuff reviewed, please email daveyjamesnorman16@gmail.com: with "Open Mind Saturated Brain" as the subject
