I've been diving hard into DOLLIE ROT's discography daily for the past few months, so I decided to fire a long shot and see if the Ann Arbor solo artist was interested in a podcast. Spoiler alert...she was. Not only that, but my label Softseed Music will be releasing her first two EPs on a cassette in October! The tape will house 'Survivor's Guilt' on side A and 'Mercy of the Gutter' on side B, and be limited to 100 copies, 50 for Dollie and 50 for Softseed. Keep the good news coming? Okily dokes, "Die a Drunk" was released just a few days back which you can check out here. A few things we discussed in this podcast: judgement from Wayne's World, genre hopping, the matriarch of the dark artist, pulled in a carriage through a magical forest, high school EPs, mom's laughing as an easter egg, screamo talk, Loss Of Life plug, future expansion, chainsmoking or growing up?, David Lynch movies, the future and Softseed Music, etc. Bands played in this podcast: Annie Eve, Holly Mae Henry, Katie Jane Garside, King Woman, Ostraca, and Roy Orbison. Listen to podcast #187 which is available to stream and/or download for free via this link.
