Thank you Cut & Paste blog. I thought ADVOCATE only had one released (and stellar) song called "Helter Skelter", but I sat down to write this review and boy was I wrong. ADVOCATE played shrieky and violent metallic hardcore bordering on thrash/grind. By shrieking I mean, y'know that banshee screaming that old Converge was able to pull off? Yeeee, that one. Awesome. I've spent a decade jamming one song, so I'm going to stop there because the 7" and cd were acquired...hmmm...yesterday. I can say, though, that they are both great, especially the full length (with "Kalva Talvi Lumi Myrski" being my favourite, and it may be superior to "Helter Skelter"). If you dig the bands listed above you should be all over this. Great, obscure stuff.
