SAOSIN has been around for a decade now, and have released only a few records. I have but one of those records - 'Translating the Name'. I've heard bits and pieces of their later work with a different vocalist, but anyone who knows me knows that I'm a ceiling fan for Anthony Green, so these songs never leave my playlist.

I will not touch on anything the band has done since Anthony Green left, simply because I'm not educated enough on the subject.

SAOSIN's demo's and 'Translating the Name' EP were all written and recorded in 2003 - which is insane considering that was the year of the band's inception. All of the songs on the extended version of the extended play are extendingly mind-blowing. It's a mix of post hardcore, punk, metal and radio friendly alternative. The instrumentals are, what I consider, neo-Hopesfall. It's thick and meaty, but at times they slip some twinkly riffing in to compliment the catchy choruses and lighten the mood a little, as the chugging guitars rarely let up.

Anthony Green first shows, on this cd, why he was pre-ordained by god almighty himself, Stephen Brodsky (not really), to sprinkle that beautiful voice of his on almost 10 bands, and cement himself as a vocal prodigy. His voice is ridiculously strong, as you hear him hit every note that exists. It may be impossible for him to miss a note. He also screams, as this release shows him at his most varied and experimental.

I have posted the EP, because:
1 - it's out of print
2 - people are charging insane amounts of money for it online, and none of that is going back to the
3 - it's fucking fantastic.

I have also posted the 2 music videos they did from the EP.
