LEER's new record is nearly impossible to categorize, but for simplicity's sake we'll go with super melodic/chaotic post-hardcore and jangly/mathy emo/screamo not unlike Hot Cross, Deers!, State Faults and Funeral Diner. There's also quite a few punk riffs thrown in for good measure. Wait, that's not short and it's definitely not a simple explanation. How's this, this was #4 on my top 20 LPs of 2013. That's simple. and if you don't shit your pants don't even bother with any of the bands listed above, because screamo isn't your thing. I've checked out the LEER's past material but it didn't come close to the 'springbreaknoparents' LP which, once I receive the damn things, will be available in the ZBR distro, linked here.
