VIVRE SA VIE, this particular band at least, is from Stockholm Sweden and NOT the Philly/USA band. This VIVRE SA VIE sent me their material to be reviewed and as I first jammed that opening song I saw a plethora of posts with their music video online so perhaps you are already aware of these four people who write a fair amount about living life outside of binary gender roles.
"Together, Always" is by far the best track so it's no wonder that this is the first track. The jangly and dissonant guitar intertwines with the screaming, steady bass and fill-happy drums and bring older Loma Prieta. Shizune and Youth Novel. The second track "War" is building song that gets fucking nutso from about a minute onward and sounds like Amygdala to me, which means its harsh, fast and amazing. The rest of the EP dips in between the melodic screamo of the first track to the violent emo-violence of the second.
Definitely check out this great demo and follow their future releases, I know I will.
