This is definitely one of the more obscure bands that I became obsessed with almost a decade ago. They released a single album, of which I have posted my sole copy to help pay for Zegema Beach Records' new releases, which is available here.
The songs are pretty all great, but "Palafox", "Unless Bonnie and Clyde are Robbing a Bank Let the Other Guys Roll On It", "Deathwish Shooter Cocktail Recipe", "Gunrunner" and "Thieves on S. Alcaniz". Make sure you watch the live video of "Gunrunner" here. Upon listening to this album again, I've got to go with "Deathwish Shooter Cocktail Recipe" as the best overall song, but goddamn that riff at 1:35 of "Gunrunner" is one of my all-time favourites. The words blistering and dancable simultaneously come to mind.
It's pretty crazy to think that this is the first release by the band, as the breakdowns and mathy palm muting meet some nice jingly janglies. Seriously this stuff is really catchy but very technical. The instrumentals are a cross between Protest The Hero's 'Kezia' material, Botch and Bleeding Kansas. The vocals are throaty yells again similar to Bleeding Kansas. There's even a Steve Buschemi quote inserted into "Gunrunner", right before the Envy sounding solo at the end of the song. I need not say more, I'll just drop the lot of you in a meat grinder.
