It's no secret that I freakin' love RIVERSLEEM. Since guitarist Drew sent me their 'A Debut Release by Riversleem' I've been all-the-fuck-over the Saskatchewan four-piece. Somewhere between, punk, hardcore, d-beat, thrash, and screamo, they've carved a very sharp niche that has turned more than a few heads. Following 'A Second Release by Riversleem' just last week this podcast was a must. A few topics touched upon: lies about Elvis, people that sound like loons, post-secondary football lineage, MuchMoreMusic was my bible, 10-year olds working at record stores, an attempted definition of cinema-grind, really good demos, making the national news, the next release, etc. Bands played in this podcast: Deerhoof, Fall Silent, Fucked Up, Iceage, King Gizzard & The Wizard Lizard, and Wednesday.
